Problem with HID

I get is error message when, I try to start the service.

The Human Interface Device Access service terminated with the following error:
The specified module could not be found. For more information, see Help and Support Center at http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/events.asp.

It seems that microsoft don't help much.
System is a Compaq presario with, Xp home sp3.
Thanks in addvance for any help.

Something I wanted to add, keyboard and mouse works fine. Webcam, and joystick don't work.

Try Start-Run-"Services.msc" (without the quotes) and make sure that "HID Input Service" and "Plug and Play" are set to Automatic and started.
Also check your Device Manager
Expand all of the +'s and look for yellow exclamation points, red X's or ?'s

HID won't start. All I get is the same error message.
