hey peeps!

I've a WRT54G linksys router installed in my house. The problem is that my downloading speed slows down considerably(almost 50% of the actual speed) when I'm online through my router as opposed to direct connection through LAN. There's no other network sharing in my house. Is there a solution to the problem or the speed generally goes down when ur connected to the router?

Any help would be really appreciated in this regard.

Thanks
