Can't remember name of pc game

Hey everybody,

I used to play this game on the pc that you downloaded (no cd), I can't remember the name, but it involved flying around in space, jumping to different quadrants, doing missions. You could land on many different planets to check the news, accept or complete missions, upgrade, and even gamble on space races between red, green, yellow, and blue ships. Thanks for your help.
