Right-click > Delete will delete any entry in AutoRuns.

You should only be looking at entries on the Logon tab of Autoruns, no other.

If there are 50 entries on that tab, you can use Google or the database at http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/ to look up abbreviations, items, etc.

You can get 2 type of logs, text or an arn file. First one is "export", second "save". Save arn file before you change anything - all you see in Autoruns is in there. File can be loaded and used to compare, see file menu. Also mean you can upload arn-file to drop.io or similar and let others have a look. Easier to navigate in Autoruns than reading a 10 mile long txt-file.

Sounds like you should look at more than just logon, 50 entries you believe are noise will most likely be connected with services/drivers/whatever besides unknown leftovers on hd. Best to uninstall through add/remove first. Also best to disable any "Start with Windows" type of options in programs. Autoruns good for overview when you run out of normal procedures. Tick hide MS/Windows stuff under options menu to make it easier.

Dont delete entries until you are absolutely sure it should not be there. Unticks let you re-tick, deleted entry cant be restored. If you have messed up you can load original arn-file, open new Autoruns with current state - use compare feature if not obvious where to look. Then simply tick so they match. Cant do that if you delete.

As Ive just found out old arn-files dont always load in newer Autoruns than what they were made with. So if you want to keep arn-logs for whatever reason also save autoruns.exe
