i recently had a friend who is really good with computers come over and wipe out my system because i had a really bad virus. so he wiped it out and reinstalled windows. somehow, by fault of my own, i ended up with another virus so i used the disk to wipe out and reinstall windows, but i either chose a wrong option in doing so or did something wrong because my screen resolution is set really low and it won't let me make it any higher and my computer won't let me play music, it says i have no sound device although my speakers are hooked up in the correct place. i don't know what else to do, i can't afford to go buy a windows disk or anything i'm lost please help.

Sounds like you need to install audio and video drivers.
