i recently used combofix and the windows recovery console in order to get rid of some viruses i had when i was using XP, i have since formatted C and installed windows 7. For some reason the recovery console still appears on start up but the windows 7 version instead of the XP one. The recovery console files were saved onto my D drive. my question is how do i disable it, ive followed through lots of tutorials such as deleteing the cmdcons and changing the text in the boot.ini file and nothing seems to work it still appears on start up every time. pre-thanks for any help you can give me.
