On a daily basis I recieve this listing in the event viewer in administrative tools ? If anyone can point me to a fix or walk me thru one it would be great to eliminate this from being listed day after day . Here is a copy of the details of the event and what it reports >
Event Type: Information
Event Source: NSCService
Event Category: None
Event ID: 35
Date: 2009/08/09
Time: 05:56:29 AM
The description for Event ID ( 35 ) in Source ( NSCService ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: Norton Protection Center Service. <<<<<<<<<<

Mt Norton Security Suite ,still updates my virus definintions and any other updates pertaining to the security suite ,so Iam a bit confused by the whole thing ? Thanks in Advance to All that Reply !!!
Take Care Nick

Information items in Event Viewer are totally disregarded by me.

I can't tell you to do the same, it's your system...but those items are provided only for informational purposes.

None of them merit any action by the owner/user...there is nothing to fix.
