I've recently bought a new digital camera, FujiFinePix S8000fd. Great camera, but downloading photos is a headache. With my previous Kodak I just plugged into the usb and windows media did the rest. When my camera is plugged in the display new hardware found pops up. I try to load my new camera and it tells me file ptpusb.dll is missing, so I'm unable to connect the camera to the pc. I have gone to Windows download but just get lots of registry companies, which is a expensive way of fixing this, allied to which one that did use has caused more problems than it was worth. I've also tried to upgrade Media, I think it is up to date, it worked well with the kodak, but when I plug this camera in, the box that allows you to download does not come up. Is it a Windows problem and how do I fix it? any help will be very much appreciated.
