AdAware finds EBates MoneyMaker everytime i scan even if i select it.

I found this in the internet but i don't have the entries.

Ebates MoneyMaker Manual Removal:
Follow these steps to remove Ebates MoneyMaker from your machine. Begin by backing up your registry and your system, and/or setting a Restore Point, to prevent trouble if you make a mistake.

Kill these running processes with Task Manager:
c:\my documents\55nn2.exe
c:\program\couponsandoffers\couponsandoffers1.exe
care2gtu.exe
ebatesmoemoneymaker1.exe
grokstersupport.exe
profilepath+\local settings\temp\ebatesmoemoneymaker.exe
programfilesdir+\blue haven media\kazoom\ebatesmoemoneymaker_ver14.exe
programfilesdir+\blue haven media\kazoom\ebatesmoemoneymaker14.exe
programfilesdir+\care2gtu\popup.exe
programfilesdir+\ebatesmoemoneymaker\ebatesmoemoneymaker.exe
programfilesdir+\ebatesmoemoneymaker\popup.exe
programfilesdir+\limeshop\popup.exe
saveinstwmcm.exe
systemroot+\dkry.exe

Go to the key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.
If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\blubstersupport, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
\ebatesmoemoneymaker, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run\upromiseremindu, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.
If you find the value HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run
\websavingsfromebates, delete it and reboot the machine immediately.

Unregister these DLLs with Regsvr32, then reboot:
iasrejcst.dll

Remove these registry items (if present) with RegEdit:

After reading i never though to look into the log. But i think i go into the registry and remove the "LQ" folder located in KEY_CURRENT_USRE\Software ? It's a wonder why it wasn't in any folders execpt registry. I won't remove it yet 'till i get an OK from you.

Cant believe i missed these. Sorry about that.

Print out these instructions and then close all windows including Internet Explorer.

Then I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Run Hijackthis again, click scan, and Put a checkmark next to each of these. Then click the Fix button:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [checkrun] C:\windows\system32\elitesom32.exe

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode

Then delete these files or directories (Do not be concerned if they do not exist)

C:\windows\system32\elitesom32.exe

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log.

This is a fresh log due to un-successful to previous attemps to remove elitesom32.exe i tried typing that into google and it led me to this program "Super Ad Blocker" though not free but a 15 day trial is the only free use that you get. It scanned my system and took 22 minutes but removed the file and registry re-started the system. i then ran AdAware SE and checked marked the 6 instead of the 38 and cliked neck then ok. then i ran adaware se again and amazing a total of "0" came up. So there is a fresh log. Disguard the previos log. DOn't worry about the missed files that didn't help anyway. Thanks though.

I do not see anything else wrong with this log. Does the computer feel normal to you again?

I think your cured.

Your log is clean! Great job!

Disable and Enable System Restore. - If you are using Windows ME or XP then you should disable and reenable system restore to make sure there are no infected files found in a restore point.

You can find instructions on how to enable and reenable system restore here:

Managing Windows Millenium System Restore

or

Windows XP System Restore Guide

Renable system restore with instructions from tutorial above

Next,

This process will clean out your Temp files and your Temporary Internet Files. Please do both steps:

Step 1:Delete Temp Files
To clean out your temp files, click on Start and then run, and type %temp% and press the ok button.

This should open up the temp directory that your machine uses. Please delete all files that are found there. If you get an error when deleting a file, skip that file and delete all the others. If you had trouble deleting a file, reboot into Safe Mode and follow this step again. You should now be able to delete all the files.

Step 2: Delete Temporary Internet Files
Now I want you to open up Internet Explorer, and click on the Tools menu and then Internet Options. At the General tab, which should be the first tab you are currently on, click on the Delete Files button and put a checkmark in Delete offline content. Then press the OK button. This may take quite a while, so do not be alarmed with how long it takes. When it is done, your Temporary Internet Files will now be deleted.

Finally, and definitely the MOST IMPORTANT step, click on the following tutorial and follow each step listed there:

Simple and easy ways to keep your computer safe and secure on the Internet
