Hello bleepingcomputer. I've been having some real issues with my computer, though I'm unsure of where or how I got these infections in the first place. The first symptom I encountered was when I booted up one day, entered my login password and was presented with an angry beeping noise and a message along these lines, though I do not remember the actual wording "Some changes were made to your computer which could result in limited windows functionality. Click here to learn more." I was unable to logon, but after a restart or two I eventually was able to. The first thing I noticed was my touchpad no longer functioned ie. my mouse didn't work, and sometimes my keyboard would also not work (if I rebooted occasionally one of these would work.) The viruses kept trying to open internet explorer, and after a while this would consume a lot of memory. I did some research and encountered this website, but was hoping to be able to tackle these issues on my own. I uninstalled Norton via your norton uninstaller and installed AVG, ran a deep scan, and took care of whatever it found. Now when it scans it finds a hidden driver but is unable to delete it, and Resident Shield is constantly filling itself up with the following infections: "..windows/system32/UACasodijaisodjaiodsj.dll (those letters are not accurate after the UAC)." with the description being either "trojan horse Generic13.ATPH" or "trojan horse Generic13.BQVV" or "Virus found Win32/Cryptor." When I go to remove all unhealed infections it warns that a forced removal could cause system instability or a crash, so I say no do not force the removal. I've basically been keeping these viruses at bay, however once when I was frustrated I forced the threat removal. This all was about a week or two ago. Since then AVG has been doing a good job of allowing me to use my computer, but occasionally I have a catastrophic system crash (blue screen of death, "preparing for memory dump..." I don't believe this started only after I forced the threat removal. I downloaded a squared security guard and malwarebytes, but neither of their scans are able to complete (possibly because AVG is still running?). Internet exOver the past few days the crashes have been getting worse (have been playing a PC game, DarkFall Online, where they are particularly abundant; they mostly occur while I am playing this game, however occasionally they occur during regular PC use, and also sometimes never occur during a particular regular use session, regardless of length.) Anyways, I apologize profusely for having wreaked any havoc on my PC, and made your job harder by not being more careful and doing more research with these tools, but any help would be much appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. Please note that your topic was not intentionally overlooked. Our mission is to help everyone in need, but sometimes it takes just a little longer to get to every request for help. No one is ignored here.

If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.

Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Information on A/V control HERE
