I am running XP Home and have Panda Titanium and ZoneAlarm Pro.

Could either of these block the download?

Hi yes either of them can block these downloads if you have not enable exceptions in your settings when you installed them, you need the above updates as they are critical ones.

It would be advisable to recheck your exceptions and tick allows by critical updates by microsoft.

hOPE THIS HELPS YOU.
Now installed Microsoft Security Essencials on my Tower with Windows Home Premium 32bit and Toshiba Satellite Pro Laptop with Windows Home Premium 64bit

I know how to change the ZoneAlarm settings but whan can I do with the AV? I've read elsewhere that people have had to deinstall and then reinstall Panda inorder to get the downloads - this seems to be a bit drastic and I can't believe that Panda have written their software such that windows downloads can't get through?
