I transfered all my music from my old hdd to my new one. I have all of the music saved in a file on my desktop. I have also downloaded the latest version of Windows Media Player. When i open WMP it says that there are no items in the library and to click the button to add files to the library. I click it and WMP cannot find any of the music files. If i open the file that the music is stored in and double click on a song it will start to play in WMP. Does anyone know how I could transfer all these songs in to WMP?

-Thank you for your time.

Sharpie, the search does not include folders you have on the desktop.
You need to move the folder to your My Music folder
in order to get the songs imported into WMP.

Did you click on Library/Add to Library?
If not, do so and use the My Personal Folders option, click OK.
This should search your My Music Folder.

If this doesn't work try Plan B.
RIGHT click on the name of the folder.
Choose Add to Windows Media Player list.
