I am a graphic designer who uses a computer daily and have for a decade-plus, but I am not by any means a "computer geek" in terms of being extremely PC-savvy. When I contracted some sort of trojan or virus the other day, I installed NOD32 at the recommendation of a friend and it was able to clean everything but the "Win32/rootkit.agent.odg". Based on my Google research, it would appear this is a fairly common occurance.

I probably should have reported the problem on a forum like this FIRST, then did what I was told. But since most of the people with my problem were instructed to download ComboFix and follow the instructions carefully, I did also. In fact, I used the ComboFix tutorial on this website to help me.

I did everything I was told and have the resulting log that ComboFix came up with but I will not post it here because your forum rules say not to, or it will be ignored? I guess I just want to know if the trojan was deleted finally or if there are still things I need to do. If anyone can help me finish, I would greatly appreciate it. I jotted down everything ComboFix told me to, in case that info is needed also. Thank you in advance!

i have the exact same thing as u do... ppl usually said GMER worked and Malwarebytes worked... but it didnt for me... none the less, u may want to try them out, considering GMER is a rootkit detecting and killing program
