My PC has been acting out of sink, . . Mail connect showing error, . . however when I turn off Firewall it connects OK.

I thought msimn.exe was a standard file ?

I see access denied, shouldn't I be the one that denies this, cause repeatedly, I have not.

I'm now sure, I am not receiving or sending mail unless the FW is Off !

I don't know what the problem was, but I got it working again.

In any case, Thanks.

Any legit file can be infected
It depends on whether or not it is in the correct folder which is:
msimn.exe located in a subfolder of "C:\Program Files" - generally C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\.

If in another location, then it would be cause for concern
