Reinstalling is a painful experience; fortunately, most problems can be fixed without resulting to reinstalling. You will find a lot of general information in the Tutorials section, and by searching the forums for your particular problems, some possible solutions that have worked for others.
There is also a self-help forum which contains removal instructions for many of the common and recent malware problems.
