i would like to record my video tapes on my computer.
is this card good enough for that

Either would fit the bill, just down to your budget, although you may have sync problems with the cheaper of the two. The more expensive solution does offer more flexibility with this thorny problem.

Leadtek have a pretty good rep as a company.
