Setting up a network

hey everyone, i have two working computers and I want to network them (wireless network). Umm.. basically I'm asking what would I need to create a network between them? Router and Network adapter?

I used this site as a tutorial to get an in-house setup for a family member.

You might read through it to answer a few of your initial questions.
