I just purchased a linksys wireless router and a USB receiver for my desktop computer. I installed this and it worked great for about 5 minutes. In the connections screen I have the wireless and I also have a local area connection 2 and 4. The 2 is connected but the 4 says network cable unplugged(not sure if this is relevant). The USB is receiving a strong signal and the computer recognizes the wireless connection. I know the router isn't the problem as I recieve a signal on my phone and ps3. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

thanks for all your help. It was so informative and easy to follow. I learned not to rely on this site for cpu help. pchelpforum.com has plenty of friendly ppl that welcome you and are willing to help you solve your problems. I recommend anyone having issues with their pc to frequent that site rather than this "forum"
