Hi there,

I hope this is the correct place to ask about this. I've done quite a bit of mucking around with my computer lately (installed ubuntu as an additional OS on a separate hd) but nothing seemed to impact my internet connection until I installed Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and Visual Studio 2008. I'm just using them to learn as part of an online course and don't really need them to constantly run... I do notice that the reporting services and sqlserver as well as a few smaller related processes are always running in the background. I didn't notice a problem instantly but from the day after I installed to now I have periods during surfing where I'll briefly lose my internet connection... for a minute or so usually but enough to boot me/interrupt me/annoy me. Is it the reporting service as the culprit? Or is it a coincidence and something else is monkeying with my connection?

Thanks for any info you have about my problem!
