Java Download and Install

I have been trying to d/l and install Java. I have Windows Vista. I keep getting and error message 1606 because install fails.

You may want to try the "offline" installation method of installing Java. The 1606 Error is referring to "unable to access network location" meaning it is possible that your computer is intermittently disconnecting from the internet during the download process.

The offline installer can be found here.

This should start the download of the full version of Java directly to your computer as one single file download. This link is for Windows XP/Vista/2000/2003/2008.
