Good day all. This site has provided invaluable advice and assistance at removing and cleaning my PC when Adaware and Spybot have failed. However A child of mine made one click too many and has infested the family PC with spyware which I just can't get rid of.

I have tried everything to got shot of the problem but without sucess.

Spybot 1.4 (with latest updates applied) informs me that my machine is infected with:-
-> Trek Blue Erro Nuker
-> AV-Gold
-> CoolWWWSearch.Aff.winshow
-> Startpage-EH

Running the fix tool gets rid of everything except AV-Gold which can't be removed coz it's in memory. I tried the AV-Gold fix posted on this board, but it doesn't work. For instance, the following files arn't even in the hijack this logfile:

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [AntivirusGold] C:\Program Files\AntivirusGold\AntivirusGold.exe /h
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Intel system tool] C:\WINDOWS\System32\winnook.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Intel system tool] C:\WINDOWS\System32\hookdump.exe

I've tried zillions of tools to track it down but its creating zillions of processes loading from spyware created files in the windows directory that get run once. Even deleting these doesn't solve it coz there's somthing else lurking to put them all back.

Anyway. Thanks for all the efforts over the months i've been lurking on this board, but I need help on this one.

Yours,
Blue Anorak

P.S. Heres the Hijack this log BTW.

Hello BlueAnorak and welcome to the BC malware forum. After reviewing your log I see a few items that require our attention. Let's start with this.

Download and install ewido security suite. Update the program and then:
  • Click on the Scanner button.
  • Click on the Complete System Scan.
  • If anything is found you will be prompted to clean the first infected file found. Choose Clean and put a checkmark in the checkbox for Perform action on all infections and click the Ok button to continue the scan.
  • When the scan is complete close ewido and reboot the computer normally.
OK. Start HijackThis and perform a new scan. Use the Add Reply button to post your new log file back here along with details of any problems you encountered performing the above steps and I will review it when it comes in.

OT
I do not respond to PM's requesting help. That's what the forums are here for. Please use them so that others may benefit from your questions and the responses you receive.
