I am running Windows XP Home Edition not sure what service pack. I upgraded to norton internet security 2009 from 2008 a few day ago now my ie explore doesn't always work (doesn't load websites sometime) and I can't download e-mails. I unistalled Norton and it worked fine then onc I reinstalled it I got the same problem. Norton Live update doesn't even seem to work. Any Ideas?

Thanks for getting back to me. I followed your directions. The first problem I encounted was downloading the Norton Removal Tool. When I clicked on download to go to the ftp site it said unable to connect. I downloaded the Tool from Majorgeeks.com and ran it twice restarting the computer after each time. Then I clicked on your link to reinstall Norton Internet Security 2009 and it installed. When it launched I clicked on run live update and then after about a minute got this error message: Unable to connect to the Norton LiveUpdate Server. Please check your Internet connection.
The version number is 184.108.40.206
Any Ideas on what to do now?

Still no luck. Could this problem and my other problem Here be related?
