So Best Buy has this computer in this weeks ad that is 399.99. I've been checking around for a couple of months now trying to find the best deal and this on paper sounds like the best one I've found. Just wanted to hear opinions from more techno savvy people.

I generally just use my computer for web surfing, email, watching tv shows/movies on line etc. I'm not a big gamer and i usually just use it at home so it doesn't need to be ultra portable or anything. But you can be honest let me know what its lacking and what its strong points are. Thanks!

It's not bad, but for the price, you could get a dual-core processor http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1218036213752

Could you confirm that its not a dual core processor? Because in the ad and everywhere else it was advertised as a dual core processor and i even called their customer support and they told me it was dual core. But i thought it was odd it didn't specify that in the description on the website. The model number is HP G60-458DX, i hope the lady on the phone didn't lie to me.

Its a decent buy, at very least. Best Buy usually has good sales from what I've seen when hunting new computers. (Their parts are pricey compared to newegg. BB is not for system building.)

Single Core is a tad bit old for that IMO. My family got a couple of Toshibas nearly two years ago now for less than that(Self done RAM upgrades still brought it up to around 400$)

Its not a bad price to say the least.

Beauty is in the eye...of the beholder.

In my eyes, a system that works and allows me to do the things on a computer...that I want to do...is worth whatever I pay for it.
