I have a laptop running vista and on trips use it to watch DVDís, this worked fine until this year. On playing, video was fine but the audio was choppy and distorted, tried several players no good, cleaned drive no good, CDís play fine. Just wondering if this problem is more likely hardware, software or possibly a virus. Thanks BD

Can you watch on-line videos without any issue? If you can, its more likely to be a hardware issue. Can you listen to music without any issues?
