Ok,....I like to think of myself as an "above-average" person when it comes to the health & welfare of computers. In most cases, I wouldn't trade my computers that are 5 or 6 years old for some of my friends that are only 6 MONTHS old. But I guess that's irrelevant.

I'VE FINALLY BEEN HIT!!.....AND HIT GOOD!! Sometime over the last week or so, I managed to get "virused" and "malwared" REALLY BAD!! I've isolated and/or deleted some of the less harmful ones, but apparently, the really bad ones remain. In researching, I found that a particular TROJAN likes to mask itself as CSRSS.EXE. Well,....I took it upon myself to delete it, and now I get the 0xc0000005 Fatal System Error message. I also researched and found that that particular F.S.E. message is associated with CSRSS.EXE.

So,....in short, I can't boot in normal mode. I can't boot in safe mode. I can't boot in safe mode with command prompt. It's also worth noting that one of the GAZILLION viruses/malwares/adwares that I've picked up over the last week, won't allow me to use System Restore neither. I also do not know where my system restore CD is neither. It's worth noting that I attempted to boot the CD ROM first, in an attempt to run MalWareBytes & HiJack This. No good. Went right to the B.S.O.D.

This is just the begining. If we can get this fixed/addressed, I'm going to need you fine folks to help me get back to a DECENT working order.

PLEASE HELP!! I REALLY NEED IT. Thank you again in advance.

Running XP.

Was recently hit with some BAD malware/viruses. Took it upon myself to do some "diagnosing" and found one of the culprits to be masked as CSRSS.EXE. Well,...long story short; I deleted the "good" CSRSS.EXE from the Windows/System32 directory, and now I'm screwed.

Cannot boot in normal mode. Cannot boot in safe mode, with or without command prompt. I can get into the pre-installed Windows System Recovery, but not sure if that helps, and if so,....what to do.

Running a Dell Inspiron 1501 w/ XP sp2 installed. I do not have the recovery CD handy, nor do I remember specifically where it is.

Any and all help is TREMENDOUSLY appreciated.
