How do computer technicians install paid software on every pc that they fix?

Some software offer you a trial version for a certain amount of time.The technician might have installed a trial version

Or they charge you for it. And some unscrupulous 'technicians' install pirated copies.

The shop I know and have worked with buy a VLK = Volume Lic. Key. They get a discount rate and usually pass along a percentage of the savings over the single copy price to the customer.

Animal's explanation is the most plausible. We see it here all the time. Users should question the technician but most of them don't.

Do they? OR is that maybe a bit of a generalised statement?

And, as Animal says, one has to be on the alert for the 'pirates' :trumpet:

At the end of the day it is YOUR computer and should only have on it what YOU want on it and not what a technician tries to tell you you MUST have :flowers: ( erm..glitch too might be the 'technician' then charges you a fee for them to UNinstall the unrequested software too :thumbsup: )
