PC with windows XP. Conputer starts, and i can acess control panel, my computer etc. However, i can not start internet explorer 8, i can not run check disk, i can not run defrag, and i can not acess task manager by using control alt delete. I have McAfee, but it also locks up. I ran malwarebites, but that will scan, but locks up at fix. I loaded modzila firefox. The internet loads and seems to work fine, however i can not open microsoft.com (all other sites seem to work). I can not open gmail.

I have hijackthis, but i am not really sure how to use it.
