What exactly is HJT?(Hi Jack Thread?) I haven't been on in awhile so I'm wonder what's new on the forums.

yes, they are there to distinguish between different parts of training provided here at BC.
Hijackthis is a program which is or was widely used in malware removal, it is used as a synonym to malware removal in this case. The different groups HJT-Team, Senior, Junior and Sophomore actually tell you how far along a person is in her/his training of malware removal.
