So just a few days ago, my Gmail started acting weird and for some reason, my name on the Google Chat thing was Australian Lottery Inc. I also noticed that whenever I sent a message, there would always be a reply-to e-mail (I forget it though). So I fixed my name and the reply-to address by going into Settings -> Accounts and Imports -> Send mail as: edit info and changed all that stuff.

However, what I'm worried is knowing if I've been hacked or not and is there anything else that needs changing in the options. I haven't downloaded anything from Gmail or read any suspicious e-mails so I'm extremely confused as to what happened. Please help!

You did not mention that you changed your password, if you have not done that, do it.

I forgot to mention that part, but I changed my password ASAP after fixing up the settings.

Hmm, did you run antivirus and antimalware scans on your computer to make sure that it hasn't been compromised (e.g. by a keylogger)?

Just did a complete scan with avast!, no signs of a keylogger or anything of the sort.
