I have Win7 RC already downloaded to my computer. I would like to install it on another computer. Can I just burn another disk with Active@ISO burner and install it on another computer or do I need to download it again from Microsoft.

Thanks for any advice

Jim

Just burn another or use the same disk! Your 7 RC licence key allows up to 3 installs im sure

Even if the license does not allow 3 activations per key, they are giving them away for free. Just act as though you were going to download it again. The download page will give you a key. However, you do not have to actually re-download the OS.

DJB,

Thank You

It worked!! Have another key now.

I've thrown together a budget build for my daughter to use until she can afford a new laptop. Nothing like a free OS, though it's only good until March. She doesn't care for Linux (can't play her Simms games  )

Hopefully she'll have the funds by March.

Jim

You wouldn't have needed the extra key.

I've installed the RC on 5 PC's using the same key.

You know, just to see if it worked.

yeah didnt think MS would actually impose the limit. You can use the same key for any of their other OS's several times if wanted... But that is illegal

No you can't. Just for the BETA and RC.

If you tried that with a Retail copy, it would
tell you that your key was invalid, and it would
shut the OS down after 30 days.
