and boy do I need you guys to show me a lot of things. lol I guess living in Missouri, the Show Me State, fits me well.

I am a babyboomer grandma, young at heart until the computer acts up and makes me CRAZY. lol Married to my best friend, we are retired (just no retirement pay, lol) both ex-law enforcement, which is how we met when we were assigned to be partners. He had 20+ years in, me only 5+, I did my 17 working as a Judge's Clerk.

Now due to poor health we are pretty much grounded. We went from fishing every night to not fishing in 3+ years now, but I'm seeing Aug has some good looking days coming up, we might have to go buy a license and see if we can make it. lol

We also deer hunt every year and we make and sell our own deer attractant on Ebay & at flea markets, called GTO+. Which reminds me I better be cooking a batch and getting it on Ebay pretty quick, bow season is about here!

I hope to visit you a lot, hopefully just for the fun of it minus the computer problems. I can always stand to read and learn on here.

Hi Richard. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you. Had some family stuff going on and fighting this computer for problems. lol

Your plan to be an officer so long is commendable! You either have a lot of patience or your criminals aren't as annoying as ours. lol The last town we were at hubby was the Chief of Police for 8 years, until they closed the department and consolidated with the county. I think all the idiots must have lived in our little town. lol And they were at our back door day and night, holidays included. lol (Only 1 officer and hubby was it). I don't think we could have taken 10 more years of that, let alone 20. lol

I hope your justice system is doing better than ours. Ours is so lax the bad guys get off with a slap of the hand so they can keep doing it over and over. Also, I've heard you don't carry guns. Is that true or a rumor?

We wish you the best. Stay safe.

Most Police in the UK don't routinely carry guns, we have specialist firearms officers in the various UK Constabularies. More and more of them I'm sorry to say.
I'm in Customs & we never carry firearms but I do run fast for my age!!!

Our Courts are also way too lenient with a slap on the wrist being considered quite harsh .....
