Hi all. Name is Tom...computer was attacked just recently but I guess I need to introduce myself before actually posting a blog about it. Basically, I'm Tom from Jersey and I am in need to get some help to fix my computer. It's sad that people in this world need to hack..obviously some people have no lives. But I just use this computer for work and gaming..got the virus from Limewire...probably like many people. I had apparently had windows security tell me of over 200 infections happening in my system including a worm and a trogan. I had an anti virus called Avira which was advised to me by a friend prior to the attack but it did nothing. I uninstalled that, installed my subscription that my parents had to Norton Anti-virus and it apparently deleted a trogan. Only issue now is that certain games do not work, my computer is starting to slow down and as far as I'm concerned, I really do not wanna have to format my brand new computer and have to reinstall a whole lot of files. Plus my auto-protect from Norton doesn't work, and when I look into my norton, it says that my virus protection is off...Tried turning it on and it brings up live update which then tells me I am up to date with definitions..has not fixed the problem at all. I am sure there might be people out there with the same problem in different variations but I really want to get back on track. Please, if anyone out there has advice, tell me soon.
