I have a motherboard with four slots that hold 3 GB of memory and two of them are used to up. I ordered 2 GB from NewEgg, and now want to know which ones I am too close to replace!

If you have 4 memory slots that hold a maximum of 3GB memory , & are adding 2GB what yuo remove depens on what the sticks you have now are.

If you have 2 512MB sticks or less leave them in & add the new memory as you won't be over the 3GB max .

Don't forget to unplug the computer before removing or installing memory !
