While surfing the internet, my laptop got infected with a number of viruses. malware, etc., With help from info posted on a number of previous posts, I managed to cleanup most of them, including SigFraud B, SigFraud C, onceclicksearches, PSGaurd/ViewPoint, WexTech AnswerWorks (I know you can tell I am a novice on the names:)-

I also installed Pandasoft Defense System software on my computer now.

I am not sure of there are viruses left on my laptop at this point. Here is the HijackThis Log:

Can someone please analyze the HijackThis Log. Pleaaaase!! Panda software frequently comes up with "SmitFraud.B Virus Detected in wininet.dll. Please reboot to disinfect'. I rebooted atleast 10 times but it does not go away.

//Mod edit: Every time you attempt to bump your log, you only

Hello chitbari and welcome to the BC ,malware forum. Let's dig a little deeper here and see what we find.

Download WinPFind.zip and unzip the contents to the C:\ folder.

Start in Safe Mode Using the F8 method:
  • Restart the computer.
  • As soon as the BIOS is loaded begin tapping the F8 key until the boot menu appears.
  • Use the arrow keys to select the Safe Mode menu item.
  • Press the Enter key.
Locate the c:\winpfind\winpfind.exe file and double-click it to run it. Now click the Start Scan button to begin the scan.

When the scan is complete reboot normally and post the WinPFind.txt file (located in the WinPFind folder) back here so I can review it.

I do not respond to PM's requesting help. That's what the forums are here for. Please use them so that others may benefit from your questions and the responses you receive.
