I was recording a video with Hypercam. My laptop died during the video. When i try to play the video(clip 47) it opens with windows media player and says the player cannot play this kind of video.

Clip 47 is a .avi file.

I have a file that was created with it that is also clip 47 but is a backup, .bak, file.

Normally when u end recording the player completes the video and erases the backup. I wasnt able to end recording since it died and was left with this.

Anyone know what to do to play this video?

Thanks in advance for reading it

First I would try to record the footage you recorded last time. I recommend you stop using it and use CamStudio instead because it is freeware and allows you to record sound unlike the Unregistered version of HyperCam.

DOWNLOAD:
http://www.camstudio.org/CamStudio20.exe

If you can't re-record it try renaming 47.bak to 47.bak.avi
