When I restart my computer windows says it finds new hardware - a pci input device. And under my "device manager" I get a yellow question mark at PCI input device as well. I haven't installed anything new and I'm not having any trouble with my computer. How can I figure out which device the computer is having trouble with?

Hi Marx5150,

We need some info please. What is the make and model of your computer? If it is a self built, do you have any documentation on what type of system board and adapters you have?

Thanks,

Rigel

Hi Marx5150,

I searched the dell site without much luck. There are a lot of different flavors for the 8300. Two questions please... Is it under warranty? and Can you give me the service tag number? The service tags I have seen resemble something like 15GSW It should be on a tag at the rear of the computer and say Service Tag on it. That tag tells exactly what is installed.

One quick thing... if the unit is under warranty, call Dell. They should be able to tell you exactly what is wrong since the no the configuration.

Good luck and let us hear back please,

Rigel
