A couple days ago, my computer was infected with a vicious virus that disguised itself as a system virus scanner. I tried almost everything, and that little bugger would NOT LEAVE. I cried as I waved the white flag and took as many of my important files as I could..

I wiped my drive, and rebooted with XP Black. I always wanted to try Black, so I looked at this as a nice opportunity that did more good than bad. It was basically bare-boned; I had to download all the drivers for my little dell from dell's site on my friend's comp and transferred them.

One problem though, I can't connect to the internet. I've posted on other sites, but no one's been able to help so far. I've reinstalled the drivers and tried repairing the connection, but it didn't work. I ipconfig'd in command prompt, and i don't have any response, no ip. I'm lost on things to do.

You can email me at Removed.com or just post here. Thanks in advance.
