Recently (last month) ive been getting tons of ads. I think this is coming from a combination of three programs ive downloaded. ares, limewire and pacific poker.
i have already tried spybot (which i had for about 6 months now) and adware(recently installed) and both have had at most moderate effects. I am not good with computers so i will save hijack this as my last resort. does anybody have any recommendations maybe another spyware remover or technique? Also would a program that must be bought like pestpatrol be more effective than a free program like spybot? thx for any help u can provide.[SIZE=7]

I'd submit a hijackthis log here.

How to submit a hijackthis log

Download Hijackthis

If you have XP you might want to consider giving Microsoft AntiSpyware a go.

Definitely post the HJT log. I usually use HJT as my first resort and then pick up the remnants with Spybot and Adaware.
