I got 6 Gmail invites if anyone wants one. Just post your email here. The first like 5 or 6 (not sure if my friend wants one) will get one.

May be better to private message the emails to shibby instead so they do not get inadvertantly harvested by spambots

For anyone worried by the much-publicised privacy issues with Gmail, I found this upfront explanation of it all from Google http://gmail.google.com/gmail/help/more.html
which might be helpful.
I haven't taken the plunge myself though - just don't really want any more ads cluttering up my space!
Cheers

About the ads in gmail or anywhere else for that matter it has gotton so that they do not register. Consciously anyway. Banner ads and sidebar ads are just pretty colors around whatever is the main point of the screen being observed. Perhaps they do have some sublimal effect.

Larger screen helps too. 19" still leaves plenty of screen for content. So far only one incoming mail on gmail was crowded in the message box.

The ads are targeted, so yes gmail does have a bot "reading" your mail. Probably kicks the good ones out so the staff can have a laugh! Or so that the Patriot Act's "Big Brother" (see Orwell's 1984) can check on you!

Sure beats Mail.com which has very intrusive ads.

They must have auto-generated links...I know they scan the mail...I read those links of Scarletts...but I tried to mail an inquiry to the New Mexico State Lottery...(not to ask if I won.... )...a general question...and I got e-mails from UK lottery and others.
