Can malware b spread trough dvd-rs

i recently went to the library and i rented a dvd showing u things bout pc's. and i ws thinking could malware b spread if i put the dvd in my pc?

Yes, malicious code can be spread any number of ways
Though I highly doubt the DVD from the library would be infected
It's probably commercially made and Read-Only, so no one could add anything to it
