Welcome to the forum.

You will need to save these instructions to notepad or print them out, because once we boot to safe mode, you will not be able to access them through the internet.
  • Please download, install, update and scan your system with the free version of Ewido trojan scanner:
  • When installing, under "Additional Options" uncheck "Install background guard" and "Install scan via context menu".
  • When you run ewido for the first time, you will get a warning "Database could not be found!". Click OK. We will fix this in a moment.
  • From the main ewido screen, click on update in the left menu, then click the Start update button.
  • After the update finishes (the status bar at the bottom will display "Update successful"), close the program. We will run it later.
Boot your computer to safe mode. Do this by restarting your computer and tapping the F8 button and when the menu appears, use the arrow keys to scroll to the Safe Mode choice.

Before starting any clean up, you need to run Hijack This from a permanent folder. Please do this.
Click My Computer, then C:\
In the menu bar, choose File, New, Folder.
That will create a folder named New Folder, which you can rename to "HJT" or "HijackThis" by right clicking on the folder name and choose "rename". Now you have C:\HJT\ folder. Put your HijackThis.exe in the file you just created, and double click to run it, and hit "Do a system Scan and save log".

Scan with Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entries:

Close all browsers and windows and click "fix checked"

Now open Ewido and click on the Scanner button in the left menu, then click on the Start button. This scan can take quite a while to run, so time to go get a drink and a snack....

If ewido finds anything, it will pop up a notification. You can select "clean" and check the boxes "Perform action with all infections" and "Create encrypted backup" before clicking on OK.

When the scan finishes, click on "Save Report". This will create a text file. Please then paste the contents of the text file to this thread, along with a new HijackThis log.

Scan with Hijack This and put a checkmark next to the following entry:
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Systems] C:\WINDOWS\System32\itDDD.exe

Close all browsers and windows and click "fix checked".

Next locate and delete the following file as marked in bold.
C:\WINDOWS\System32\itDDD.exe

Please download CCleaner from here
Install and run it, and clean out your Temporary and Temporary Internet Files (as well as anything else you may want to clean out.)

Download Registry Search <http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/files/regsearch.php> and doubleclick to start it. Enter "itDDD.exe" (without the quotes) in the edit and click "Ok". Notepad will be opened with text in it (the file will be saved in the program's folder as well). Post this text.

Please run the Housecall online virus scan located at:
http://housecall.trendmicro.com/housecall/start_corp.asp
Follow the prompts to scan your hard drive for viruses. Select the "Autoclean" option so that Housecall will remove any viruses from your system.
When the scan is finished, please restart your computer.

Then please run the Panda scan here:
http://www.pandasoftware.com/products/acti...n_principal.htm
Choose to "Disinfect automatically," and follow the prompts. Delete any viruses found, and restart your computer.

Finally, please run the WindowSecurity trojan scan here:
http://www.windowsecurity.com/trojanscan/
Remove any trojans found, and restart your computer.

Post another Hijack This log.

Now, we need to get rid of that entry in your registry.

Go to Start; run and type "regedit" without the quotations. Then when the registry opens, click on file, export, and save the backup where you can find it. Name it something you will recognize as a registry backup.

Go to Edit, Find, and in "Find What", type itddd.exe. You will delete the entry in the right hand column. Continue with "find next" until it completes the entire registry. If you are at all uncomfortable with working in the registry, let me know, and I'll try to come up with another option.

After you have completed these procedures, run Ewido again, and post that log along with another Hijack This log. We're getting close to being done, but we will still have a few more procedures to do.

Congratulations, your log is clean!
In order to be better protected in the future, I recommend the following programs:

SpywareBlaster protects against bad ActiveX.

SpywareGuard stops Spyware from being installed.

IE-SPYAD puts over 5000 sites in your restricted zone so you'll be protected when you visit innocent-looking sites that aren't actually innocent at all.

All three are very small free programs that you run once, and then just occasionally to check for updates.

Finally, it is best to update your system regularly, to ensure you have the latest security patches from Microsoft. Update by clicking
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and following the prompts.
