hi can someone please assist me a virus/infection blocked my task manager, shut down my icon notification and set my picture folder non viewable but i ran avg and it seemed to take care of the taskman and the pop up problem but the rest is still there

What antivirus are you running? what firewall ? what operating system are you running?

atm am running AVG anti virus and just winxp firewall and my operating system is xp pro
