this not that important and also not sure if im posting in the right section...im just wondering if we can/should only post our HJT logs if we are having problems or can we post our log just to make sure that our comp is in proper order? im thinking of maybe posting once every few months even if i dont experience any problems. i dont know if this will be fine or if this will take time away from those that really need the help.

Hello, splackavellie.

I would post a HijackThis log when I first join, just to make sure my computer is infection free.
When you post it, indicate that that it's just for a check-up.

After that, you shouldn't post again unless you have, or suspect, a problem.
The HJT Team are very busy, trying to keep up with the amount of logs they receive, everyday.
Posting a log, monthly, just for a check-up, isn't a very good idea.
As you indicated, it could delay someone, who does have a problem, from getting the help they need, in a timely manner.

So, by all means, post that first log, to be sure your computer is clean.
Then if you follow the steps outlined in our numerous Tutorials, you shouldn't have to post another HJT log, for a long time.
