I don't know the first thing about getting virus's or how to get rid of them. That's why I signed up for this website, so someone could hopefully help me get this nasty virus off my computer. I don't know how to check what kind of a virus it is, but I will tell you some of the things I see when logging on to my computer.

At first my computer looks normal, until some kind of "System Security:Protect your computer" Virus starts running. It supposedly is checking all the files on my computer and telling me that I am infected and I need put my credit card down to buy system security and get rid of all the virus's. The message says "warning your're in danger. Your computer is infected with spyware." They didn't even spell you're right...so it's obviously not a legit antivirus program.

It will not allow me to get into any other programs, and has disabled all of my spyware and antivirus programs. I have been able to log into safemode and get on the internet to get in these forums, but I can't get into my regular settings without that virus coming up and destroying everything...

Please help me with this problem. Whatever steps you need me to take I can follow directions.

Hello and welcome to BC!

Please read the pinned topic titled "Preparation Guide For Use Before Posting A Hijackthis Log". If you cannot complete a step, then skip it and continue with the next. In Step 6 there are instructions for downloading and running DDS which will create a Pseudo HJT Report as part of its log.

When you have done that, post your log in the HijackThis Logs and Malware Removal forum, NOT here, for assistance by the HJT Team Experts. A member of the HJT Team will walk you through, step by step, on how to clean your computer. This may or may not be myself so please be patient when waiting for a response. If you post your log back in this thread, the response from the HJT Team will be delayed because your post will have to be moved. This means it will fall in line behind any others posted that same day.
