I've been having this problem for a few months now and I'm desperate for a solution at this point. I'm using a 5-year-old Vaio VGN-A150 running Windows XP Home.

iTunes freezes immediately when opened. I can't minimize or maximize and I have to close it through task manager. I have done all the troubleshooting Apple suggests to no avail. I've deleted the library files (resigned to recreating it) and I have used Revo Uninstaller to completely wipe iTunes from my registry and reinstalled iTunes at least a dozen times.

Also, Trillian won't open at all. When I click on it, the process begins to run on task manager but the program never actually opens. Perhaps these two problems are related?

This is my first time making a post like this so I'm unsure of what else to include. If any other information is needed, please let me know.
