Our new Dell (runs on Vista) has been acting up in the last few months.

Specifics:

* double-clicking on websites leads to a "this website cannot be displayed properly" or "this website...is unavailable." Clicking refresh works most of the time, but this is happening more and more often with various sites.

*I tried to run a HiJack this scan today and received the error message "HiJack This" has stopped working...a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."

Our computer is a Dell Inspiron 521S, using Vista, and is about eight months old.

Thanks in advance for any help, Z\S/

I use Firefox, but now I've got pop-ups popping up through IE.

I'm guessing it's spy/malware. Please help!

I've tried a few of the online scanners linked to here, and whatever I've got shuts 'em down before they can even finish downloading.

This seems reminiscent of a few Trojans I've had in the past.
