File Error???

There is this notification that shows up on my computer telling me to run chkdsk .
I dont know if its some kind of virus or what.
Ive run the ChkDsk thing but it doesnt solve the problem.

The manitspm.exe appears to be part of the spam filtering program for Outlook. If it were me, I would just go into the folder it refers to and delete the desktop.ini file if the computer will let you. If it does, it will probably say that it is a system file and ask you if you are sure you want to delete it, answer yes. The computer will create another one to replace it.

I went to Start, then Run, then i typed chkdsk and pressed run

The manitspm.exe appears to be part of the spam filtering program for Outlook. The procedure you employed...does not result in any files being repaired, you requested a read-only run of chkdsk.

To effect repairs, try Start/Run...chkdsk /r (with space between the k and /).

http://www.updatexp.com/windows-xp-chkdsk.html You do not have to type the drive/partition letter designation and you do not have to type /f, since it is included in the /r function.
