I have recently downgraded a friends HP Pavilion DV2000 Laptop comptuer from Vista to Windows XP Pro. Upon doing this i realized that the machine had some issues when going to XP.
Now i have all the proper drivers down so far however i have in Other Devices 2 that i havent been able to get.

The two are the :
Coprocessor
SM Bus Controller

If anyone has experienced the same thing how did you get these two to properly install?

Again its a HP Pavilion dv2000 Laptop.

-thanks in advance

Thanks hamluis.

I should have mentioned before that the processor is an AMD Turion 64 X2 Tl-58. To verify do i still use the http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/sb/cs-013541.htm site and if i do is it THIS ONE that i download?

For the answer on the Coprocessor, i wasnt quite sure on the answer. Did i search for the AMD Turion?

-Thanks again

My experience is that AMD processors don't have these kinds of questions...the chipset drivers take care of it all.

http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&rls...;oq=&aqi=g2

I would never suggest using Intel anything...on an AMD unit...or vice versa.

Yes normally i would have no problem with getting a computer online, however the DV2000 was built for Vista and since i put XP on it there has been a few problems. Seems a decent amount of people are having the same based issues.

I will give a look at the SM bus driver but the Coprocessor is still a question. As i said before there is an issue with getting this solved, since the drivers from HP site didnt get everything done.

Going to try for the SM bus controller tomoarrow, hopefully i can get everything set.

~Thanks yet again
