Good evening!

Booting my PC up about three days ago to be greeted with a false anti-virus scan and a blue background that said I was infected. I also had a program called GameVance installed that I did not recognize.

Now my search results are automatically redirected to various ad sites. I have run Spybot and McAfee multiple times and fixed the recommended problems, but have not been able to get to the root of it. I did not have the firewall activated until the time of this posting.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated!

  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
