Can anyone help me locate and create a desktop icon for Internet Explorer please. I recently had a new hard drive and re-install done my my PC manufacturer and now I cannot locate Internet Explorer to position a shortcut on the desktop. Now i know its there because i can get to it through Word by looking for new templates via the Microsoft site. I cannot however locate or recognise the file on my PC. Can someone please help identify and locate this file. If I knew exactly what to loke for i could create a shortcut. It does not appear to be in my programs directory

In WinXP you can bring up the desktop properties, and on the desktop tab click the Customize Desktop button and there is a check box for the icon on the general tab. The file itself should be Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE
I finally got it all together, now if I could just remember where I put it.
